Is It Too Late to Celebrate?

I know we are past the Fourth of July. I know I am late submitting this post but I didn't have this blog at the time and I didn't want to miss July altogether. Don't forget July 25th is Christmas in July.

Ever since my children were toddlers we taught them to be patriotic about our country. Their dad, Ralph, was an airman. I can remember days when he taught them about placing their hand over their heart as the National Anthem was being sung. I also remember when he spoke of getting a lump in his throat every time this part of the song was sung,

"And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there."

We wanted our children to be proud of being American; as are their parents. I am of the same mind with the song but in the present text, our flag is still here. It still stands unfurled with every red stripe bright, it's gleaming rows of white and the color of freedom so blue.
Now that Kristen and Jared have their own cars each chose a color they felt looked nice and fit their style. Then we realized all of our cars are in the patriotic colors: good Ole' Red, White and Blue. We decided we needed to take pictures of our cars and we were excited to do so.

"Oh say does that star-bangled banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?"

From my heart to yours,
Have a blessed day.
