Summer Apricot Jelly
There is nothing like summer fruit: peaches, apricots and melons are the sweet desserts that are very healthy for you. And there is nothing better than a Sunday morning while everyone is sleeping that I can get an hour of some quiet time enjoying homemade fruit jelly on toast with a cup of coffee. This is a simple recipe that I would like to share with you on canning apricots. Enjoy the homemade taste of summer.

Is It Too Late to Celebrate?
I know we are past the Fourth of July. I know I am late submitting this post but I didn't have this blog at the time and I didn't want to miss July altogether. Don't forget July 25th is Christmas in July.
Ever since my children were toddlers we taught them to be patriotic about our country. Their dad, Ralph, was an airman. I can remember days when he taught them about placing their hand over their heart as the National Anthem was being sung. I also remember when he spoke of getting a lump in his throat every time this part of the song was sung,
Ever since my children were toddlers we taught them to be patriotic about our country. Their dad, Ralph, was an airman. I can remember days when he taught them about placing their hand over their heart as the National Anthem was being sung. I also remember when he spoke of getting a lump in his throat every time this part of the song was sung,
"And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there."
We wanted our children to be proud of being American; as are their parents. I am of the same mind with the song but in the present text, our flag is still here. It still stands unfurled with every red stripe bright, it's gleaming rows of white and the color of freedom so blue.

"Oh say does that star-bangled banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?"

From my heart to yours,
Have a blessed day.

Rustic Brown Packages
I need to practice.
Me-me-me-meeeeee. Ahem.
Hmm.
Brown Rustic-brown packages tied up with burlap,
I like this version a whole lot better,
Kristen wrapped door prizes,
Winners of three,
The look is a little bit vi-n-tage-ie.
Sounds a little catchie, yes? Well, maybe I need to work on the lyrics a little bit more. But, these really are a few of my favorite things. I see burlap everywhere. I went into a model home and the curtains were green burlap; a green tea color of green. I truly liked them for they looked so rich.
Chelsie's suitcase is so pretty I used it for the backdrop.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting my newest blog.
Me-me-me-meeeeee. Ahem.
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,
Brown paper packages tied up with string,
These are a few of my favorite things.

The rustic bottle caps really finished the look.

Feel So Blue
Simple but nice. Just a blue day for sharing and helping my friends in developing a blog. No, I am not a professional designer. I am just like you wanting to surround myself with lovely things. Feel free to copy the Feel So Blue collection for yourself in your header or labels.
The header gadget is in the layout screen and does not require any HTML changes unless you are a web designer that uses all the codes. Otherwise I would advise you not to tamper with the HTML of your blog/web site.
A bright aqua color.
If you prefer frosted vintage.
Blue, brown and touches of pink floral.

Labels for your sidebar that you can write on.

A button for the bottom of your post.
Friends are welcomed here.
Thank you for stopping by today; it was so much fun.
God bless,

My Welcome Gift To You
I know how finding a blog template or header can be frustrating, so I made some for you to enjoy for free as my gift to you in saying, "Welcome to Gingham Chic". I made the header for my blog and thought you might be like me looking for something you could use but not wanting to search the Net. Just hover your mouse on the picture, right click, and save image as. Use a photo editor like PicMonkey to write your blog name and save in the header gadget in your layout screen. All designs were made on the PicMonkey editor.
